"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling traded in the Hogwarts Express for a super yacht, and it is anchored here in Charleston.
Rowling's yacht, called The Samsara, sailed up from Savannah over the weekend, according to global shipping tracker MarineTraffic. The boat left Georgia the afternoon of June 8 and arrived in Charleston on the morning of June 9, according to the trip notes on MarineTraffic.
The boat is anchored in the South Channel, off the shore of May Forest State Park near Fort Johnson.

In 2012, Tiger Woods' yacht, the Privacy, was photographed in the Lowcountry. That year, the PGA Championship was held on Kiawah Island.
In the 1980s, former President Donald Trump— then just a multimillionaire businessman and real estate magnate— arrived in Charleston aboard his mega-yacht, dubbed the Trump Princess. The vessel, at 285 feet long, was the third-largest yacht in the world at the time. It was docked in Charleston for a week in November 1988.
The Samsara is 290 feet long and can sleep 14 people in seven cabins. It was built in 2015 and is priced at $150 million, according to the website Superyachtfan.com.
Rowling's seven-volume fantasy series, which spurred the popular Warner Bros. film series starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, has sold more than 600 million copies. According to NASDAQ, Rowling is the richest author in the world with a net worth of $1 billion.
