Tips for organizing your pantry:
- Go through and purge/throw out old, outdated food.
- Sort food by boxed and canned foods in separate areas of the pantry.
- Consider using stacking plastic organizers and label with contents. Use these for cereals, crackers, spaghetti and dried goods.
- Keep heavy items like bottled water, cans and small appliances on the bottom of the pantry for easy access.
Pro Tip: Barley|Pfeiffer Architectstypically recommends 3 depth levels for pantry shelving and storage:6 inches for canned goods, 12 inches for boxed goods and canisters and 16 inches for small appliances and large storage (dog food, etc.)
