10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (1)

It has been a few months since I’ve shared one of my favorite type of blog posts… 10 Pins. This long running series is one that continues to inspire me, spark creativity, and provides an opportunity to slow down and really analyze why I’m attracted to certain spaces & design elements. Pinterest has been my favorite social media outlet for nearly a decade and it remains a big part of my daily routine. I try to log at least 5-10 minutes of daily scrolling and pinning each morning alongside my coffee. It’s my favorite way to warm up to work right after logging onto my computer each day. It’s one of those creative habits or rituals I truly look forward to. If you’re not following me on Pinterest, definitely do so! It probably gives a fun insider glance at what I’m enjoying or working on in real time.As always, be sure to click through and check out the designers, extended room & home tours, and pin your favorites from this post for future reference. Ready to see what I’ve been collecting & saving on Pinterest these past couple months? There are a lot of warm winter vignettes packed into this one…

#1 // Candlelit Staircase
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (2)

This time of year, I’m all about switching on lamps, lighting candles, and finding ways to add warmth to our home during the winter months. I really enjoyed the warm glow of this staircase seating area. This dramatic high contrast vignette felt simplistic, yet inspiring… especially for January.

#2 // Violet Calacatta Bath
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (3)

High contrast and violet marble have frequented my feed lately. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been attracted to the graphic looking stone or have searched for it lately… either way- it’s a welcome addition to my daily scrolling. I love the modern elements mixed alongside traditional in this bathroom. The spherical feet on the soaking tub and relaxing natural shades are pretty perfect!

#3 // Cozy Modern Living Room
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (4)

This dark & moody living room felt very January to me. Between the sherpa wrapped occasional chair, mongolian wool rug, navy / almost black built-ins, and light leaking into the space… it’s one that felt inspiring and textural. I do feel like my vintage ski photographic prints (from our basem*nt) would work perfectly in place of the existing built-in art. Very aspen aprés chic, indeed.

#4 // Raw Canvas Artwork
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (5)

This oversized raw canvas artwork installed in a stacked minimal way, paired with that antique chair stopped me mid scroll. Sometimes it’s the simple things. It feels so soft, textural, and intentional. I was definitely excited to discover a new (to me) talented artist, Chelsea Fly.

#5 // Classic Subway Tile Bathroom
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (6)

I’ve been on a brainstorming kick lately and I’m determined to use beige, taupe, or tan subway tile in our home somewhere. I could definitely see it showing up in our laundry room or powder room someday. This bathroom is filled with gorgeous fixtures & finishes. Nothing extraordinary… which proves there is no need to reinvent the wheel when using classic materials. I’m confident this space will look equally as timeless in 5-10 years.

#6 // Modern Marble Shower
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (7)

Another graphic stone got me. This alcove shower is really what modern design dreams are made of. With beautiful brass thermostatic shower trim (peep that oversized rainhead!)recessed niche, radius doorway, and slab bench, this modern shower has it all.

#7 // Cream Colored Hallway
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (8)

I know a lot of people sleep on hallways or find them boring to design. I am not one of these people. Don’t neglect your hall!I think hallways are the perfect space to get creative with color, pattern, millwork, transitions, artwork, and lighting. The buttercream colored paint, lovely millwork, and single piece of artwork installed beneath a galley light caused me to analyze and pin this vignette.

#8 // Dark Green Den
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (9)

I’ve always been a big fan of Jake Arnold’s interiors. This deep green den packed with monochromatic color and texture is nothing short of mesmerizing. I especially love the minimal shelf styling and light fixtures- that plaster pendant brings a whole new meaning to “boob light” in the best way. I honestly love it! It’s the perfect mix of old, new, masculine, and feminine.

#9 // Winter White Kitchen
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (10)

In a world where white kitchens are heavily overdone and can be a complete snooze, this one really spoke to me. The warm earthy wood tones, the creamy cabinet color, the classic white dishes perfectly spaced, the handmade tiles, and the brass accents really feel thoughtful and unique to me… the perfect winter white kitchen that still feels inviting.

#10 // Walk In Closet
10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration - Room for Tuesday (11)

Last, but not least (as I’ve been in organization mode)… a giant walk-in closet with the most stunning curved architecture and custom millwork. It makes me wonder what the exterior of this home looks like. I love the oak cabinetry, reminiscent of my previous kitchen. I’m also very into the pendant fixture and window treatments. It’s soft, functional, and easy on the eyes. I also appreciate all that counter space and storage.

I hope you enjoyed this month’s 10 Pins post! This series continues to be my personal favorite. Lately I’ve been feeling extra creative and have felt the need to design, put pen to paper & sketch, as well as create some mood boards for our home as we brainstorm future projects. It has felt good to ease back into the work I so enjoy. I hope your week and month is off to a wonderful start.
